The Observatory has arranged a popular Astronomy museum on campus for visitors. The displays are mainly pictorial, supported by a few models and old instruments like the transit instrument made in 1857. A live solar image and the Fraunhofer spectrum are also presented.

Transit instrument is a telescope to measure the time of transit of an astronomical object across the meridian of the observer. This is an important tool in Positional astronomy, the study of positions and motions of astronomical objects.
